One of Italy’s largest and most populous region has only two wine styles of particular note, red Valtellina and sparkling Franciacorta. The majority of its wines are produced under lesser known DOC titles or under one of the regions various IGT titles.
Lombardy’s longest-lived wines are the reds from Valtellina, which may mature and improve for a decade or more. In Oltrepo Pavase, Brescia, and other eastern zones of the region, most reds are made with a view to drinking within six to seven years.
The wines of Lake Garda gained a certain fame abroad in the early days of tourism over fifty years ago and still retain a little patina of romantic nostalgia. New wines have popped up among the old, especially Franciacorta sparkling wines.

Ca dei Frati Lugana \'l Frati, Lombardy is a light yellow in colour with a concentrated, but fresh perfume of white flowers, peaches and ripe lemons. On the palate, the wine has excellent depth and balance between the fruit and crisp acidity. The finish picks-up more ripe peaches which linger on for a long time.

Ca dei Frati \"Rosa dei Frati\" is light pink in colour with touches of orange. Zesty and vibrant with aromas of red berries and plums. Great balance between the fruit, sweetness and acidity provides a very refreshing finish.
Ca dei Frati \"Pratto\" , Lombardy has a lovely aromatic quality on the nose with notes of tropical fruit and great minerality. On the palate, an initial hint of sweetness is followed by a well-balanced blend of fruit and savoury components, ending with hints of more tropical fruit, such as mango and lychees.

The nose is broad and most appealing, with hints of ripe fruit, especially apricot and pineapple. It also has an attractive and elegant vanilla note and a marked mineral vein. Displaying excellent balance and freshness on the palate, it has a long, lingering and tangy finish.
