A smooth elegant style with a rich flavour and very pleasant bouquet, a soft rounded and mellow taste.Made from milled corn, rye and malted barley and distilled to the highest standards, the whisky is aged in both seasoned and new white oak barrels and eventually selected at optimum maturity to creat the Crown Royal blend.
Paul John Brilliance Single Malt Indian Whisky has a nose that first captures the scent of demerara sugar, then follows hints of cinnamon, other warm spices and the sweetness of honey. The palate picks-up lots of sweetness and spice and the honey-like smoothness is offset by the crunchy bar like crispness. Somewhere there is also a tinge of cocoa. This whisky has a smooth and beautifuly relaxed finish, hints of sweet fruit, mild warm spices and lots of deep intense vanilla.
Paul John Edited Single Malt Indian Whisky is amber gold in colour, with a nose of honey and cocoa, laced with hints of smokiness and a shot of expresso. A deeper nose reveals fruity fragrances. The palate first picks-up grassy flavours of barley, but gently makes way for subtle peat notes, which slowly dissolve and pave the way for a rush of mint and mocha. The finish is long and drawn out. There is a sense and hint of warm spice and chocolate mint as it ends on gentle peat notes.
Rich with touches of hazelnut and toasted bread. A fruity attack reveals its complexity, notes of dried fruits, cereals, spices. A long lasting spicy and sea breezes notes
Paul John Bold Peated Single Malt Indian Whisky is fully peated and has a lovely gold colour and a little smoke to the nose followed by a dizzying array of manuka honey, spice and also liquorice. The palate at first, senses more smoke, then warm spice, honey and burning molasses. The whisky is big and bold, but in the background there is a subtle smoothness. The finish is long and lingering, with sweetness and smoke in abundance.
Rich dark fruits and caramels from dry Oloroso sherry casks intermingling with green apples, hazelnuts and hints of sugared almonds. A taste of remarkable sweetness giving way to refreshing dryness, caramels and sultanas on a long finish
Amrut Single Malt Indian Whisky is sweet at first on the nose, then comes a gentle touch of sour lemon. Notes of apple develop- both sweet and floury apples as well as intensely boiled sweets. On the palate there is an initial creaminess which is swept into the background by sweet and sour fruit-apples, crunchy pears and mango. Sharp clove spice sits behind the fruit, with tannic fruit skin dryness at the very back. The finish is very long, sweet and grainy, with lots of liquorice coming through.
Exceptionally well balanced with cream toffee aroma, fresh new leather, long lasting notes of tropical fruits, raisins and vanilla
Nose: Dying embers of a wood fire. Light fruits, think citrus. Lemongrass and roasted lemons. A subtle hint of black cardamom. Taste: Again very fruity, lemongrass and citrus. Chilli spice. Slightly burnt toasted marshmallows. Oily and sweet with a long oaky dry finish. Very Heavily peated.
Spirit Of Hven Tycho\'s Organic Single Malt Swedish Whisky has a nose of golden barley which is complimented by notes of coconut and almonds. The taste is fresh with distinct smokiness and strightforward maltiness and flavours of mild toffee. The sweetness from the American oak is well balanced with the stringency of the French oak, which then helps to formulate a well rounded, gentle smoke and rich medium to long aftertaste.
Kavalan Single Malt Taiwanese Whisky has a nose that is rich and sweet, with floral and fruity notes. Ripe mango, apple and gently sour grapes are joined by gently spirituous notes and warm soft spice. Creamy vanilla and butter lead on the palate, with cinnamon-spiced sponge cake dressed with light lemon cream behind. The fruitiness from the nose develops in the glass, with mango and sweet red apple notes appearing. The finish is medium in length and focused on sweetness-butter, fruit and soft warm spice.
Box Dalvve Single Malt Swedish Whisky has a sweet vanilla nose that mingles with rich peat smoke and with a core of stewed apple, sweet butter and peppery spice following. Soft and rounded on the palate, led by a burst of unexpected sweetness. That then fades to reveal sour fruit and soft peat smoke, with peppery spice rolling in behind. A candied sweetness builds from the centre and the cycle begins again. The finish picks-up green leaves, hints of charcoal and wood smoke, fresh and crisp apples, and a twist of lemon zest.
Amrut Fusion Single Malt Whisky,India is a little closed at first on the nose, but then slowly opens up in the glass: heavy and spicy, with notes of black prpper and raisins bolstered by barley sugar, toffee and oaky spice. On the palate its intensely flavoured and complex, with layers of fruit, spice and smoke. Thick vanilla sweetness is tempered by smoky peat, and chocolate fudge is complimented by grapes and spicy oak. The finish is long and lingering with lots of rich dried fruit and gentle, savoury smoke.
Kavalan Port Cask Finish Single Malt Taiwanese Whisky is initially very rich on the nose with lots of manuka honey, candy floss, sugared raisins and vanilla sugar. Lighter fruity notes soon develop, including mango and sweet apple. The whisky is weighty and spicy on the palate, with sharp clove and cinnamon notes leading to rich and sweet centre of stewed and dried fruit. The lighter notes found on the nose slowly develop on the palate, with sweet and sour fruits making an appearance. The finish is medium in length, with the soft fruit turning towards vanilla and cream.
Amrut Peated Single Malt Indian Whisky has candied sweetness at first on the nose, then followed by a burst of mineral-rich smoke-charcoal smouldering in a stone pit. Fruit develops, with candied lime peel and zest, dried apple and a concentrated mix of tropical fruit. The palate is first hit by smoke, then with sweet wood and spice, also some anise and licquorice root. However, it takes a back seat to layers of fruit and sweet grain-sugary fruit jellies and a gentle citrus zest sharpness. The finish is sweet and citrusy, with a gentle tingle of white pepper.
