Third Generation Chardonnay, Nugan Estate is pale straw in colour with a soft youthful green hue. Aromas of white peach and nectarine compote with lashings of roasted nuts and allspice. On the palate, bright citrus and peach fruit with undertones of roasted cashew. To retain the delicate natural aromas and flavours, select parcels of fruit were crushed and lightly pressed prior to clarification and cool fermentation. Regular lees stirring helped to add texture and finesse to the wine, that was fermented and matured on medium toast in addition to receiving French Oak treatment. Perfect with poultry and seafood dishes. Try with crispy salmon fillets.
Nugan Estate Third Generation Shiraz is a full-bodied Victorian Shiraz displaying ripe berry fruit aromatics with touches of earth, pepper and dark chocolate. The aromas follow through to the palate with its spiced-up, sweet red berry fruit flavours, leading to a silky tannin flourish. Pairs well with most meats, including poultry, pasta and even spicy Asian dishes.
Peter Lehmann Layers, Adelaide White is pale yellow with a youthful green hue, on the nose there are aromas of citrus, peach and white flowers. The finely structured, lemon tinged Semillon provides a wonderful backbone to support the soft floral aromatics of Muscat, entwined with the delicate spice of Gewürztraminer. The Pinot Gris provides texture and mouthfeel to the mid-palate and the finish is crisp and fresh.
Scruffy\'s Shiraz, Nugan Estate is a rich, intense, smooth, full-bodied red wine with blackcurrant, black cherry, sweet spice and black pepper notes on the nose and the palate. Easy drinking and pairs well with a juicy beef burger, roast lamb, beef dishes and medium to mature cheeses.
Drover\'s Hut Chardonnay, Nugan Estate, is a pale straw colour with youthful greenish hues. Lifted aromas of nectarine and peach with mixed spice and toasty notes. On the palate a rich full flavoured style of stone fruits and toast complimented by a cleansing crisp acid finish. The fruit is picked at night to preserve a beautiful crisp flavour and there is minimal wood treatment to keep the Chardonnay bright and fruity. There is stony, almost Chablis like hint of minerality on the finish, which lingers with very good tenacity and focus.
Dandelion Vineyards, \"Pride of the Fleurieu\" Cabernet Sauvignon is an intense, regal purple with bright edges. Scented blueberries, cassis and anise aromas with sweet spice, cedar and blackberry notes. The palate is rich, deep and full-flavoured, with blueberry, black plums, figs and milk chocolate flavours. Tobacco, spearmint and soft powdery Cabernet tannins are softened by smooth, mouth-filling fruit before a really extended finish.
Shaw + Smith, Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc has a distinct pink grapefruit flavour profile, mid-palate weight and texture and a fine acidity. Bright and aromatic, it has become known as a benchmark for Adelaide Hills and Australian Sauvignon Blanc.
Manuka Grove Durif, Nugan Estate Durif is a rich and robust red grape variety that revels in the warm and dry conditions of the family’s Manuka Grove Vineyard at Hanwood in the Riverina. This great wine is best enjoyed with seared lamp rump or rich, caramelised veal shanks with Polenta or aged cheddar cheese. Winemaker Notes : Dense inky red in appearance with a youthful crimson hue. Aromas of ripe blackberry, blood plum and cherry over aniseed and all-spice. Rich and intense flavours of black cherry, plum pudding melded with earth, chocolate and spicy vanillin undertones. Great length with ripe lingering tannins.
The Other Wine Co. Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris is delicious with the tell-tale bread crust and ripe pear character of this variety at its best. Dry and crisp on the palate, it is bursting with red Delicious apples, white peaches and a floral hint, with a fresh and vibrant finish.
S.C.Pannell, Adelaide Hills Aromatico is rich in terms of flavour profile. The Gewürztraminer component imparts exotic notes and rose petals, while the Riesling adds lime and orange blossom, and a hint of pear from the Pinot Gris. This wine is medium-bodied, very tropical and fruit driven.
Clonakilla Hilltops Shiraz has signature \'Hilltops\' ripe, dark fruit flavours with a deep, concentrated cherry and blackberry character. It has fine-grained tannins and a racy acidity, which allow it to be enjoyed now but also be aged for up to 10 years.
Shaw + Smith, \"M3\" Adelaide Hills Chardonnay opens with aromas of white flowers, grapefruit, and white peach. Notes of brioche and toast add complexity to the elegant fruit. The palate is long and flavoursome, with great texture and bright acidity. Savoury, toasty nuances from the oak are beautifully integrated and linger on the finish.
Shaw + Smith, Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir, a light red. Bright nose, really fragrant – juicy cranberries, cinnamon and bergamot. On the palate, there is lots of rhubarb and earl grey tea on top of a savoury core – cured meats, stem, sap, and spice. Nice acid cut and grippy tannins.
Now on its 30th vintage, the Clonakilla Canberra District Voignier is typically generous, with ripe stone fruit, musk and ginger aromas and the trademark Clonakilla flavour-packed palate. Delicious on release, it will age with interest for five to eight years.
