Burn Cottage refers to the name of a road on which the 24 hectare property sits in Central Otago. The estate was once a sheep paddock until its purchase by Marquis Sauvage in 2002. Marquis brought on board Ted Lemon of Littorai as their winemaker and in 2003, they started planting Pinot Noir.Six years later, they released their first wine.

Charles Melton \'The Kirche\' Shiraz/ Cabernet Sauvignon Barossa Valley is a deep delicious colour. Bright crimson. Highly perfumed upon first look. A very lifted sweet nose, but again as is always the case with this block, the Cabernet (34%) component is highly assertive. A very smooth round palate, with lovely plush mid palate weight. Again strongly varietal flavours evident on the palate. Lovely package. I am hesitant to say pretty, because it underplays the complexity of the wine. But very fragrant.

Bruno Rocca Barbera d\'Alba has aromas of mature fruit such as prunes, blackcurrants and dark ripe cherries, which are complemented by notes of toasted almonds and vanilla from twelve months oak ageing. The palate introduces warm spice and more ripe fruit, its generous and very flavoursome with a balanced structure and a lenthy finish.
\"Keyneton Euphonium\" Barossa Shiraz/ Cabernet Sauvignon/ Merlot/ Cabernet Franc, Henschke, Australia is a blend of 66% shiraz, 19% cabernet sauvignon (with an additional 10% merlot and 5% cabernet franc) sourced from vineyards across both Barossa and Eden Valleys (the former region encompassing the latter) with vines ageing up to fifty years. Maturation is 18 months in large oak barrel, 20% of which new.

Felsina Berardenga Vin Santo has a golden yellow colour in the glass with copper highlights. Aromas of peach and apricot are complemented with pineapple and tropical fruit. The complex palate has good weight and supple fruit, with toasty nunaces from well integrated oak. A lively acidity is beautifully balanced with the sweetness of the dried grapes, with baked apricot and candied pineapple continuing on the long finish.
