Tamnavulin Connoisseurs Choice 2007 Cask Strength, Single Malt Whisky, was matured in a refill bourbon barrel yielding 214 bottles at its hefty cask strength of 58.8%. Tamnavulin is an underrated distillery, which is a shame but also a blessing for thrifty malt fans as it keeps the prices down. Tamnavulin is also more famous for sherry cask whisky, so it\'s great to see one from a refill bourbon cask that should allow the distillery\'s spirit character to shine. This 2007 Tamnavulin should be splendid whisky and looks a bargain.
