Robert Parker/Advocate and Wine Spectator Rated Wines
Alexander Hadleigh prides itself on selecting for its customers wines of high quality and reputation. The wines listed within this section have all been tasted by independent experts, either by Robert Parker and his team, or by the team of the Wine Spectator, or by both organisations.
Robert Parker is one of the most influential wine critics in the world, a wine expert who tastes up to 10,000 wines every year and shares his thoughts and experiences on each wine through Parker's 100-point rating system. Followers of Robert Parker gain great comfort in choosing wines knowing he or his team have tasted first and given their expert opinion.
Wine Spectator is an American lifestyle magazine that focuses on wine and wine culture. It also has a strong well respected team of professional wine critics who review and rate thousands of wines each year utilising a similar rating system to Robert Parker.
Both sets of aforementioned experts reinforce our desire to recommend and sell top quality wines.

Louis Roederer Brut Premier NV Champagne the texture is full and generous and, in a fairly unexpected way, integrates characteristics of maturity associated with fruitier and more refreshing notes. The wine has a fresh festive finesse, and in the mouth, the wine has structure, richness and length. Will pair well with shellfish or meat and fish terrines.
Montes \"Purple Angel\" Colchagua is a wine that showcases the rich flavours typical of the Carmenere grape. The addition of a little Petit Verdot gives the wine its soft spice, colour, structure and fine acidity. The deep purple red wine has alluring red and blackberry notes on the nose. The palate is densely concentrated, with soft warm spice, chocolate and mocha which lingers a long time on the finish.
Chateau Fonbadet, Cru Bourgeois Superieur, Pauillac is a hugely fruity wine, very rich, concentrated and dense. It has great power and richness, the berry fruits racing with ripeness,
Plexus MRV John Duval Wines, Barossa and this very first vintage of 2010 Plexus Blanc is a blend of 62% Marsanne, 26% Roussanne and 13% Viognier. It has a pretty honeysuckle and orange blossom scented nose with peaches, poached pears and a suggestion of white pepper. The medium to full-bodied palate has wonderfully pure stone fruit and fennel seed flavors with medium-high acid and a nice silky texture going long into the finish. It’s drinking beautifully now and should have some capacity to develop a honeyed / toasty character over the next 4-5 years,
Cornas Champelrose, Domaine Courbis is Syrah at its most extreme - very deep black colour with a rich aroma of concentrated fruit, shows new oak and is very elegant. Additional minerality suggests greater longevity, wonderful with red meats, game and stews,
Chateau de Myrat, 2eme Cru Classe Sauternes has a very lifted nose with great definition and notes of honey, white peach, mango and dried apricots. Very good weight and persistency - this is a superb 2007 and a great success for Myrat,
