Madeira Wine Henriques and Henriques Finest Dry 5 Years Old, is lovely, seductive soft, quite creamy notes of walnut and bruised pear fruit, with a straw-like note. The palate has a fine Fino sherry-like dryness and tiny saltiness as well as those nutty and dried apricot flavours. There's a complex, dry nut and burnt orange tang, with plenty of acidity that is well integrated and balanced. Very tangy and mouth-watering despite a certain richness. Dry and crisp with an elegant nuttiness from oak cask ageing. An ideal aperitif, best served chilled with fresh roasted nuts such as almonds.
