Quinta do Portal Fine White Port is typically a blend of Malvasis Fina, Viosinho and Gouveio. The wine is aged for three years in old barrels where it acquires its burnt honey colour, floral aromas of rose petals and white peaches along with some orange zest and almonds. Best enjoyed chilled as an aperitif.
Quinta do Portal Fine Tawny Port is aged four years in the barrel and still shows off lots of fresh fruit on the nose, but already with some nutty notes. This fine Tawny Port is very smooth, clean and bright, with lots of fruity flavours on the tongue. The good balance between the fruit, tannins and oak provide the wine with a long lasting finish. Try as an aperitif or with delicate flavoured desserts.
Quinta do Portal Fine Ruby Port has been aged in wood for a minimum of three years and giving the wine a rich spicy nose. On the palate it displays vigour with lots of lively fruit plus hints of almonds and hazelnuts. The finish on the wine goes well with rich soft cheeses and chocolate style desserts.
