Lying South of an imaginary line between Dundee and Greenock, the Lowland malt whiskies are renowned for their subtlety. Often triple distilled, these well defined malt whiskies are light rather than intense and their character is predominantly floral. The Macleod's lowland single malt whisky has a fresh and flowery nose, with a clean and slightly citrus palate, the finish is dry and aromatic.
