The characteristics of this Island malt are typical of the region. The nose is dry with a slight sherry overtone and strong sea-salt influence. While the palate reveals a sweetness behind the dominant smoke and peat of the malt. This single malt whisky has been aged in oak casks for eight years, at the distillery of origin. The Rare Malt Manager has selected the whisky, cask by cask, having decided that it has reached maturity and is ready for bottling. A perfect after dinner malt whisky.
